INTRODUCING...
The Dyslexia AdvantageÂ
You don’t need another planner
You need a system designed for a dyslexic nervous system
Â
The Dyslexia Advantage is an OT-led online group program helping dyslexic adults stop burning out and start building life and work systems that actually stick.
You’ve tried to “get organised.”
You've been told to try harder...Â
You’ve bought planners, productivity apps, and courses.
You’ve told yourself this time I’ll be consistent.Â
 And yet…
- You start strong and fade quickly
- Simple tasks feel overwhelming
- You feel capable, but underperforming
- You’re exhausted from managing yourself
- You secretly wonder if you’ll ever reach your potentialÂ
Â
This isn’t a motivation problem.
It’s a design problem.
Â
Dyslexic adults are taught to override their nervous system, suppress their needs, and force themselves into systems that were never built for their brain.
That’s why nothing sticks.
Â
Dyslexia is not a learning difficulty in adulthood, it’s a nervous system and executive function mismatch.
When dyslexic adults are stressed, overwhelmed, or dysregulated:
-
memory drops
-
initiation collapses
-
organisation disappears
-
shame takes over
So telling yourself to try harder actually makes things worse.
The Dyslexia Advantage teaches you how to regulate first, externalise what your brain can’t hold, and design life around how you actually function — not how you “should.”
This is why advice alone doesn’t work.
And why this program is different.

Let me introduce myself Â
Â
Hello! I’m Stephanie, often referred to as the  Dyslexic OT. I received my dyslexia diagnosis at  the age of 31, after navigating the UK education system as an undiagnosed child.Â
I have a deep understanding of the challenges  that come with struggling through education.  During my time in higher education, I  encountered various difficulties until a colleague pointed out issues in my report writing.Â
Gaining my diagnosis was an “aha” moment that clarified many of my unique traits.Â
Throughout my adult life, I have had to advocate for my needs, and I've come to realise that there is still much work to be done to support dyslexic adults who have faced similar challenges.Â
As an occupational therapist, I know that the skills of an OT are ideally suited to assist dyslexic adults
But getting here wasn't easy......
Education System
I was that child who found themselves in the lowest reading group and was dissuaded from pursuing a second language or certain science subjects.
Throughout my school years, I often felt inadequate compared to my classmates.
Work lifeÂ
I began my career in administrative roles right after school, but I soon realised that I wasn’t as fast as my colleagues when it came to writing emails or reports.
I often felt as though I was falling behind  and wasn't as good as my peers.Â
Â
Â
UniversityÂ
At university, I had to advocate for myself, particularly during my placements. I struggled to get my head around academic writing and after a struggle with my assignment in 2nd year I taught myself how to write academically.
Receiving my degree  is one of my greatest challenges and achievement.
